Today the weather has changed and I can't believe it's still August especially when we are registering tenants who are looking to move in just before Christmas - this year has flown by - does anyone else feel the same?
Some students are still searching for their accommodation for the coming academic year due to the clearing process and with the University of Norwich on our doorstep this is a very attractive proposition for many landlords. Its good to get an insight into what students feel is high on their wish list.... ideally of course location, location, location! Close proximity to the University as well as having local amenities close by is always a plus point. Golden Triangle and Earlham areas are always popular.
We have found the most common questions asked by students are:
What is the Broadland like - so Landlords and Agents really need to check out the situation so the information is readily available to their target audience.
Students Love Storage - Make your house attractive to the student market by having ample storage, book cases, cupboards that can be shelved and add rails. Its always a plus point.
The House itself should be well presented, furnishings of a serviceable condition. Gas Central Heating and a low maintenance garden is always idea - not all students have the time to mow the lawn and cut the hedges, so if your student property has a reasonable sized garden, why not consider including a gardener in the cost of the rent?
If you have a student property that is still unlet and are hoping to catch the students in the clearing process, please call us for your free valuation
Weather permitting our great new shop exterior and signage should be completed next week. Such a vast improvement and we are really happy with the results! Thank you to James and Clive at Mower Signs!
We are excited to announce the launch of our new website design after a good few months in the development and you will see we have been completely updated and re-branded so things are looking pretty great right now. To completely re-design, re-create, and move everything and everyone over to a new design was a huge learning experience, for sure. And it has helped us grow in leaps and bounds as a company..
A few of our goals with the new website were to make it faster, easier to navigate for users, and easier for us to manage and update. Most of all, we wanted to help our landlords and tenants get to know us better. If you take a look around the site I think you’ll get a pretty good idea of who we are and what we do as a company.
If you would like to comment on our new design or website we welcome your feedback and we hope you enjoy the new designed Spencer Ward!
